“When I started my career in London in the 1990's I worked as an assistant for a whole range of different photographers including David Bailey and the American fashion photographer Don Freeman. However, the most inspirational and technically gifted photographer I worked for was the Scotsman Cameron Watt, who taught me a huge amount about the discipline and time involved in shooting still life. Ten years later I started my shell series. These beautiful, graphic objects have become one of my most popular series and I have Cameron to thank for showing me the way.”
