“Having photographed yachts exclusively on black and white film since 1996 I started to use my new digital cameras for colour work in 2006 for the Rolex Regatta series. Encouraged by the results; I spent the summer of 2008 photographing Mariquita, The Lady Anne and Tuiga on the Clyde and the Solent. Shooting in colour is less forgiving than black and white but when the sun starts shining off the varnished decks and the cream sails these majestic yachts look quite wonderful.”
